Big campaigns with ambitious goals and far reaching implications take entire communities to succeed. We have a great team behind us and friends across Canada who are passionate about sport and the benefits that will follow the development of Canada’s first winter sport institute. But we need your help to accomplish our vision. Here’s how you can become part of our community.

We need momentum on our side. And to get it, this campaign needs to communicate the value of upgrading existing WinSport Canada facilities and introducing the leading-edge Athletic and Ice Complex (AIC). CANADA WINS is about the many positive results these world-class venues bring to Calgary, to Alberta and to the entire nation.
A fully developed Canadian Winter Sport Institute will:
- Support our athletes with the best training environment in the world as we strive to become the number one winter sport nation;
- Develop Olympic heroes who will inspire young Canadians to get involved in sport and lead healthy lifestyles; and
- Create jobs, attract international events, and promote Calgary and Canada as a world-class sport and tourism destination.
Word of mouth is a powerful tool and we encourage you to use it, help us explain the importance and significance of this project to your friends, family and colleagues. And we invite you to share your story – tell us how sport has made a difference in your life or your families. Let us know how you think the AIC will impact our athletes and communities.

Become a volunteer

One of the lasting legacies from the 1988 Olympic Winter Games is a vibrant spirit of volunteerism. Since the founding of the Calgary Olympic Development Association now WinSport Canada, volunteers have been a critical component of our success. Our future achievements are also reliant on that spirit and the continued support of our incredible volunteer force.
If you are interested in supporting the CANADA WINS campaign as an ambassador or canvasser, please contact us at canadawins@winsportcanada.ca. There are a wide variety of volunteer opportunities at WinSport Canada and the benefits are many and varied.
