Your StoriesMy favorite Olympic memory is a toss up between several events: watching the ‘88 Olympic Flame travel through my home town and, about a month later, watching the flame being lit at McMahon Stadium (Calgary) and on top of the Calgary Tower. I was eight years old and being part of this journey was terrific. It was also the first time I learned about the stories behind the flame and the Olympic Games. Those were exciting times and I was fascinated by the events and buzz surrounding me.

My second memory is watching Donovan Bailey win the 100 m sprint in Atlanta in 1996; later that year, in the fall, he came to my High School (his alma mater also). It was a real thrill to be pulled out of class and into an assembly with the fastest man in the world, meeting him in the same gym I used to play basketball every day at lunch time.
