General Info
COMPETE AT THE SECOND ANNUAL BURTON CANADIAN OPEN!

The Burton Canadian Open ("CANO") is coming back to WinSport Canada's Canada Olympic Park on February 2-7, 2010. Join riders from around the world in competing in world class halfpipe and slopestyle courses and for a $50,000 cash purse.

The third stop in the Burton Global Open Series, the CANO will be a crucial stop for riders looking to accumulate BGOS points. This is even more important this year, because the top 3 men and women BGOS riders will be awarded major cash for their hard work (like $50k for 1st, $30k for 2nd and $20k for 3rd). This means that there are more chances for riders to win a serious piece of the $200,000 BGOS purse.

The CANO is also proud to be a 5Star TTR event....just another reason to get out there and compete. All riders that compete will earn TTR points, but the top male and female rider will walk away from the CANO with 800 TTR points and a chance at the TTR Championship title.

Lastly, you can find all the info you will need on schedule, formats, prize breakdown, accreditation, on the following link to the official CANO website. And be sure to check back often for any event related updates.

The world's best cross-country skiers will be returning to Canmore, Alberta in 2010! The Viessmann World Cup FIS Cross-Country event will run February 4-7, 2010 at the picturesque Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park and will feature the final international races prior to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.

Don't miss the action as Canada's Olympic team makes its final preparations against a star-studded field of 200+ athletes from over 25 nations.

Spectating at the World Cup events is free! No tickets are required.

There will be more than 40 km of public skiing available at the Nordic Centre during the World Cup (provided we have ample natural snow). In a worst-case scenario there will be a minimum of 10 km of public skiing open on machine-made snow.

The only facility limitations imposed on the public by the World Cup will be that there will be no public parking at the Nordic Centre on February 5 & 6.

For full event details including public parking and transportation to the Canmore Nordic Center click here .
