Top
Southland Leisure CentreOn Nov 21st between 12:00 - 4:00 p.m., WinSport Canada and the Southland Leisure Centre have teamed up to host a unique fundraising event for WinSport Canada's capital campaign - CANADA WINS. Proceeds from this event will go directly to funding the leading edge facilities that athletes require to pursue their dreams.

Throughout the day, visitors and participants will take part in a celebration of Canadian sport. All pre-registered participants have the option to train with Olympic champions, or develop their hockey skills in the Hockey Canada Skills Camp. Non-registered visitors can take part in an autograph session, free games, auction and raffle plus much more!

The day will include:

  • Athlete Training Sessions - $30
Don't miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity to train with an Olympic Champion! (Ages 6 - 16)
  • Hockey Canada Skills Camp - $50
For 40 lucky participants, national and community coaches will work with Atom and PeeWee players, helping them develop their hockey skills.
  • Autograph Session
After the athlete training sessions has concluded, all three world champions will be signing autographs in the main lobby of the Southland Leisure Centre.
  • Silent Auction and Raffle
Christmas is just around the corner and with the items that we've secured for our silent auction; you're going to make someone very happy Christmas morning.
  • Maple Leafs
With a two dollar donation, you'll be able to sign your maple leaf and stick it up on the "Red Wall". All proceeds from the maple leafs will be going towards the CANADA WINS campaign.

Funds raised for this campaign will allow WinSport Canada to build our nation's first winter sport institute - it will be the incubator for high performance Canadian athletes and a place that develops and inspires young people to be the best they can be. The new facility (Athletic and Ice Complex) will be accessible for high performance athletes and the general public.
